Modelling inbound international tourism demand in Australia: Lessons from the pandemics

The study explores how international tourism demand in Australia is impacted not only by traditional economic factors but also uncertainty and risk emanating from pandemics. Using an augmented model the paper examines main determinants of during favourable period what lessons can be drawn to reboot post-pandemic situation. To best our knowledge, this first its kind, which employs a robust second-generation panel examine impact pandemic augmenting upon Australia.
